Junior Estimator/Project Manager

We are currently looking for a Junior Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. The role of the Junior Estimator is to analyze an incoming customer project and determine all substrates and materials necessary for production. You will calculate prices based on all necessary parts and materials, and work with our creative team to develop sample and production costs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze all job specifications to assure that all information needed to calculate the sell price is present.
- Receive quotes from capable vendors to ensure a competitive price on work that is outsourced.
- Refine specifications for better production, lower cost, and better suitability to end-use and add production steps necessary to achieve quality level desired.
- Calculate cost and print legible price quotes that can be used later by the Production Manager, including quoted prices for materials and outside services.
- Produce a written estimate for customers.
- Write and distribute purchase orders to vendors.Â
Desired Qualifications
- Must possess a solid understating of the printing industry including all printing processes, finishing processes and materials.
- General knowledge of Point of Purchase Displays design and structure
- Ability to recognize the capabilities and limitations of all equipment in the plant, as well as the most economical method to manufacture any display or print job. Help decide when to outsource based on project and production schedule.
- Strong math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying & dividing) with fractions and decimals.
- Knowledge of FileMaker Pro, Excel, Word. Knowledge of the Adobe Suite a plus.

Position: Temporary to Possible Full-time In-House Digital Press Operator - $18 – 20/hour DOE
We are currently looking to hire a temporary digital press operator for March – June, 2020. The role of the digital press operator is to keep our machines running smoothly and complete production projects on a timely basis. This position could possibly become a regular full-time position for a candidate that is hard working, trainable, and dependable.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Accurately and proficiently operate and maintain the AGFA digital press and Esko Cutters.
Effectively manage the day-to-day production of digital print jobs with minimal downtime.
Load and unload substrates from printer and cutters. Â
Monitor and maintain print quality standards.
Order and maintain inventory of supplies.
Ensure each job prints per job ticket (piece count).
Keep work area clean and organized.
Help in the warehouse with assembly and packing as needed.
Desired Qualifications
Proficient with color with knowledge/ability to adjust color.
Understand paper/substrates.
Possess basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Detail oriented and quality conscious.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
